There are many airplane shots in this challenge.
Was there a meeting of DCP'ers at an airshow?
Great capture....

Great work (I've been seeing a few great jet shots here lately). Very curious about equipment here, looks like it's only a few feets/meters away.

The great F-18 in a breath taking capture. I do so admire the burst. Well done. Bumping up.

Great capture here.
Superb timing and well seen. (Miramar?)
I'll have to check back after the challenge to see what kind of equipment was used.
Well Done! ((9))

I am an airshow buff and have seen many many jets form similar vapor bursts but can never seem to capture them with my camera. Right place, right time for you! Very dramatic. Very action-filled. Outstanding focus. Very good technical capture. My only nit, and it's a small one, ... I might have tried to fiddle with the sky to create a bit more drama behind the plane. Especially below and to the left. I can see the detail is there, and it would take a subtle hand with PS to pull it off. Might be worth a try for a print. (10)

I have no idea how you captured this so perfectly, but I'm in awe of your skills! I hope you gave some comments on when, where and how you did this so I can read them after the challenge.

wow, how great to capture that....nice shot. i guess i could say something about the plane being fery 'flat' and almost the same color as the background.. but you didn't have much choice...

Nice effects. Like the subtle grays. Maybe a bit less vapor over the cockpit and tail.

Don't planes usually have deignative markings? I.E. Country of Orogin etc... any thoughts as to why this one doesn't?
