Mike said need more contrast, i think you need new contacts ;)

Thanks for all the critic, thanks for all those who thought it should rate higher.

As for the centred duck... it didn't quite work any other way bc I would of had to either cropped it in tighter and lost quality or cropped out the water skid marks.

good sharp action capture. DPC doesn't usually score high for super wide photos, though, and they won't think that the black and white adds anything to it. Composition feels clumsy to me. Four from me and from DPC a 5.8

I think you are optimistic here, some good sense of movement but dynamic bird shots need to be pristine. This falls short of that. I gave it a 5 but I suspect others will be kinder. Nonetheless, I think your estimate is high. I think it will be more like 5.82.

nice sharp focus on the duck, i like the action here, I've never noticed the splash ahead of a landing Duck before, cool! I'll pay more attention in the future, this shot will end up close to your prediction of 6.2 Good Luck

Beautiful BW tones and detail. Seems a little too centered, however I believe it will place higher than you think. My guess is 6.5; I scored it a 9.

Very nice. I like the stop action, the tones and contrast and the detail on the bird. Seven from me but I think your prediction of 6.210 will be pretty close, so I'll make that my prediction too.

The subject is great. Very cute and descriptive of a succesul water landing. I'd love it even more with an off-center subject, just for visual appeal and would also allow to show off more of the wake. Predict 5.92

Nice wildlife action shot well done. My only knock is the white reflection dots that lead you away from the subject. You are allowed to clean some of those up in advanced. I'm in just under your guess.

6 Fine capture of the moment. I understand why you've centered the duck -- to show both the landing and give it space to enter -- but some dynamism is sacrificed from the action. The black and white is a good choice.
