First, that doesn't sound good about how the matter was handled - sorry to hear about it.
I'm not sure the coin blurring would result in a DQ, but to be honest, such an obvious blur won't do well anyway. This would have looked great had you not blurred the coins. And I guess the time issue is the point - make do with the time allotted or make time to get the materials you want.
Hard luck with the DQ (I reckon the cloned BG might have DQ'd you anyway), but I hope you carry on submitting to the challenges here. |

This DQ is very frustrating! I received NO warning of 48 hours notice to produce original (which I have no problem doing) and the notification of the DQ was my FIRST notification. I replied to the email to understand and received no answer. Needless to say I am NOT happy, and feel this incident was handled poorly. I am not angry because I didn't win, but that I wasn't even given a chance to be considered. Not sure I want to continue with this site if this is the standard operating procedure! I might sound like a spoiled toddler with this rant, but I want my frustration noted.
I thought the blurred coins should be obvious and I am surprised that I was 'called' out on it. I wanted to make the coins look generic not a US JFK silver dollar. If I had more time, I would have tried to find more generic looking gold coins.. |

I'm curious as to why you blurred out the faces on the coins. |
