This picture was taken at the Eden Project in Cornwall. These are viewing platforms at the top of the tropical biome. It's a straight shot converted to B&W and toned in Lightroom. |

It's an intriguing image and an intriguing take on the novel. It doesn't actually HAVE anything to do with the novel, which is more of a steampunk thing (LOL) but it feels like it OUGHT to, if you know what I mean?
Anyway, I like it. I want to know where it actually is, and what's going on. 7 from me. |

Very cool!! (my husband thinks it looks like the senate in star wars). I like it a lot! -8- |

The coming of martians... I get it and I like this. You have created science fiction here. |

VERY clever. Is this Christo's installation? |

Very creative take for the title. Love the lines and the otherworldly colors. |

6...it's strange enough to be interesting. It's the color that accomplishes this for me. It's both futuristic and retro all at the same time. |

It kinda does evoke that doesn't it?
Really weird coloration, but generally fits.
Processing here does just absolutely nothing for me, and the image itself isn't composed particularly well IMO.
In any case, this is a 5, simply for evoking the novel so well, and in such a strange way. |

The title fits this image well. |

Using my imagination I see the platforms as the Martian tripods. I̢۪m not sure if that is what you were trying to represent that is not so important as I̢۪ll vote on what I see. I̢۪m also not sure if the transition of colours is your doing or it is natural but I also relate this back to the book with the transition of earth green to the Martian red weed. I like what you made me see. 7. |

Does have a great sci fi look, I imagine you toned it , so that helps as well. Good use of lateral presentation to support your interpretation. More about the technology than the invasion.6. |

That would do much better without the people that do look like visitor in a museum. Still a 6 |

An interesting place. The colors help emote the story, but I still feel like it's a bit of a reach. 5 |

I really like the colors in this shot. The image itself feels robotic to me...in a good way...like War of the Worlds advanced alien robot army.
Gave it an 8 |

Not a bad image but quite a stretch for that particular story. 5 |

Probably one of my favorites! This is because I perceive it to be difficult to achieve a science fiction look with ordinary things - and you've done that very well (although I don't know where or what this is). The colors work well. A 7 from me |

You found the spot! And yes, they invaded us. Quite astonishing.

Nice use of shapes and geometry to create an image of interest. Really like the green to red transition! Not quite the menacing spectacle one would expect to see for War of the Worlds, where you'd expect to see massive destruction, not construction :) |

This does hold some of the menace of the aliens from that book, thanks to the ominous red over the green, and the high, hulking platform. The composition is okay. 5 |

This is a shot that I find interesting. All the different angles... it's odd, but in a good way.
The colors are just lovely.
Gave it a 6 |
