I would really have liked to seen one spot in this shot that was in focus, the lower left hand corner is the sharpest. I do like the neon green hints though, it does make it stand out

I think you could've improved this by holding focus more through the whole reel.

"Take a photo in which the background is black and the subject is predominately a black as well."

There is a some black, but there is also a lot that is not.
