Thanks to the very generous voter who gave a 10... Not sure it warrented two 1's though ;)
I can't put my finger on why, but the end result of this picture (regardless of challenge description) has been the most pleasing for me for a while. Maybe it's because I like the boldness/contrast of Black & White together..
Anywho, thanks to the voters and a special mention to wbanning for his comment.

| The black piece is on the black spot, but the challenge was to use a black background, which this didn't really do. |

"Take a photo in which the background is black and the subject is predominately a black as well."
I feel that this does not meet the criteria based on the wording. The background is not black. |
