I like this idea a lot. I have to agree about the white wall though. You can always buy some $1-a-yard fabric and tack up to the wall when needed. I also think that the subjects could be placed a little better. The boy could be higher and more "in" the shot. Also, the mirror is too low and that tiny bit of finger in the bottom corner is distracting. Lighting should also be more even and diffuse on both. I think this is just one of those instances in which a little more time and effort could have made a big difference. Of course, it's not always worth the time and effort just to move up half a point in the scoring. I'm wondering why you used such a slow shutter speed and low aperture #. I understand that you wanted the reflection blurred, but ... |

Thanks for all the comments. I personally like the man in the mirror out of focus for none of us knows for sure what our future is (the fuzziness was my way of showing that) Well that and there is not enough light nor room in our kitchen, which is also why the image in the mirror was so close otherwise everyone could view my nice wooden cupboards.
Again thanks for the comments

Not a bad idea, though the mirror is truncated and you've got all that white space above it. Why not centre it more? |

Good idea, but the lack of light of the face in the mirror weakens the picture. |

That's funny. A bit grainy though. |

This is a nice idea, but it needs a little honing. The mirror person is too dark. The white background is not really helping. It would be better less...white. - Inspzil |

This is a neat photo. I love the idea. I wish the man in the mirror had been back a little, so he didn't seem crammed in the mirror, but a little more relaxed. The child's expression is priceless. Looks full of love for the person in the mirror. Also the person in the mirror isn't well focused and pulled back a little he would have been. And that's my only complaint. It's a 7. PTL |

The effect here is outstanding. The image is a little dark and a little grainy. Good luck!...7 |

Great concept! This is why we take pictures. The only thing that I would say as constructive would be to have a little more light on the 'man's' face to establish more of a ratio with the boy. Really nice work. |
