 Lakota Wolf Preserve. crop. calculations to b/w. curves to add contrast. burned a highlight on a gate that was distracting from the wolf. slight sharpen.

It is a sad photo, but the reality is much nicer. First of all, the wolves have much more room than they would at a zoo. Secondly, this is almost the opposite of a zoo. Animals are not taken from the wild to fill this preserve. Instead, animals that have already been taken from the wild, and legally are not allowed to be re-introduced into the wild, are given a place to live and be part of a pack in a forest environment.
