That's fascinating. I've never thought about whether or not bees drink! |

How unusual is this? I've never seen a bee drinking water. Seems so incongruous. Well composed shot. |

Your subject is right up my alley :) Wonderful shot and glimpse into a bee's busy day. Good compo and the yellow stands out from the grey granite. Seems a tad grainy on the bees? Over cropped? |

How very interesting - nice detail on the bees and I love the textural contrasts here, Marion. |

I love that this isn't your typical bee and flower shot. The rocks are beautiful and the perspective on the bees is unique and well spotted. |

I never thought that insects needed drinking, until one day I saved a beetle by giving it just a single drop of water after which he quickly recovered and flew away. I was most amazed to see that happen! The bees in the shot have fund their watering hole, clearly. |

I think it is very neat that you caught them at a watering hole. I don't believe I have ever seen a bee drink water before. |

Wow that is amazing you caught them drinking instead of busy buzzying around some flowers. Wonderful job. Love it. |

I think the bees do drink in hot weather, here in South Africa they drink from the bird bath. Beautiful textur, color and focus. |

Great picture. Texture and colours of the rocks are beautiful. And drinking bees is not a common sight, so thanks for sharing with us. |

WOW! I can only imagine what it took to get this shot--well seen. There is something curiously satisfying about the colors in this. It's what holds my interest. |

What a very unique shot ..I have never seen bees getting a drink down on the ground like that . Lovely texture in the rocks and I like how one can see where the water is seeping through. A very interesting shot. |
