 Not much happened during this time frame so you get an overly edited picture of something boring.

This is up at Lake Erie. Fishermen usually go here to do some ice fishing, and occasionally have to be rescued by the coast guard :)

Our winter this year was crazy warm and we only had two significant snowfalls - so not much ice fishing going on.

On the day that I went up, I was struck by how many birds were just floating around in the water. I tried getting closer to the shore to get a better perspective with all the birds, but they kept scooching away when I got close. So I went for this kind of shot to at least get some of them in the picture.

I thought people too, a real telescopic view like you are in a submarine ?

Greater or Lesser Scaups, I think. Certainly a migrating flock headed to the Canadian provinces or Alaska. Telescope view, as per the vignette.

I'm interested in the ducks - they look like Tufted Ducks or Scaups, and there's a lot of them!

Not usually a fan of these heavy vignettes, but it works in the nautical theme, as if we are staring out from a periscope....

Cool shot and the birds do add a lot of interest. There's a sensor dust spot right above the center boat.
