Release of 10,000 balloons at the Voortrekker Monument in South Africa as a demonstration against the ANC's constant barrage to eradicate history by it's attempts at the name change of Pretoria to Tshwane, an African who, according to modern day politicians say settled in the area before the Voortrekkers did. Using that logic the city could be named after anyone, including the original occupiers of the land, the San, even before the Ndebele arrived. A city over 157 years old (1855) and developed outside of any cultural African heritage or influences at the time and long before the advent of separate development and apartheid. Many also protested against the genocide of Afrikaans Farmers throughout South Africa. Estimates vary but the figure is around 3000 farmers, not including their family members also murdered, since "Democracy" in 1994.

I love the picture. It's really high contrast, great colors, plus the width made it look amazing. Was sure it was gonna do better... I was one of your 9s. Congrats on a great photo!

That's a lot of fun!
It's interesting how the balloons rise and twist. One of them appears to be upside down! |

Aaaaaaarg. This image is right there. Your killing me. This is the image everyone wants to take but it seems just a tad out of focus.
If this image was sharp it's blue ribbon caliber.
