 A seagull doing its best to be a hummingbird. Camera handheld, rear-shutter sync used on pop-up flash of all things...Flash Gordon had exhausted his batteries by then.

Teehee! Find it funny that peeps thought this was a vawendy. Rest assured that up here in Canuckistan we also have seagulls, osprey, bluebirds and squirrels, so she doesn't have the market cornered! :-)

Voted earlier and am back to comment. This is a vawendy image if ever I saw one... and it's likely to get a ribbon, or get very close to getting one. Minimalism is wonderful. Processing and composition is perfect.

Nicely done, like the high key look and the focus on the head and eyes is very good along with the motion on the wings, this has some of that wow factor that I like to see
