Wow! Thanks for the great response to this image. I was really stuck for awhile trying to figure out what to do. I just couldn't figure out how to represent what I do without a person in the shot. The white dresses we wore in a couple other challenge entries came to mind so I was trying to think of a way to display them that made sense.

This was my first attempt: The sky was bland and I didn't think the metal poles fit the scene.

The next day the sky was better so I went out again. This time I found a spot with some old wood from a fence lying around. So I dug new holes and put wood poles. The wood poles and the sky made a huge difference.

I am really happy with how this turned out, This is definitely going to be on my wall.

P.S. Processing was a bit of topaz adjust, clarity. And then SEP with custom adjustments on luminosity layer. both these processes really enhance the sky and the dresses on the line.

yay! blue worth the extra effort of going out a second time!

Congrats Jennifer! The other primary difference between your first and second attempts is the lower camera angle on your entry. IMO, it really makes a big difference, maybe even more so than the wood poles and better sky.

coming back to comment....I really like this. I like the colors here a lot. The sky contrasts very nicely with the dry grass. and I like the simplicity of the shot in general. It's not super eye candy or anything but it makes me smile and has nice balance IMO all the way around. one of my top three favorites for this challenge.
