 Shot with Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS at 200mm, available light outdoors, subject under a white fabric canopy. Converted from RAW, cropped, cloned out little defects in skin, resized, sharpened and saved for web.

True the focus is soft, maybe even just a little too soft around the eye area. If the eyes were a tad sharper this would be absolutely amazing, instead of just amazing :) I do have to disagree about the depth of field being too narrow though. I find the depth of field as it is very adequate. An f/4 aperture wouldn't have done anything to benefit this image.

A great portrait! The model is beautiful and hope shines from her face. The lighting is perfect, with just enough soft shadow to define the graceful form of her face and providing nice glints in her eyes. Focus is nicely soft but the DOF is too narrow; an aperture one step smaller (f/4) would have put the whole subject in focus while still keeping the background unobtrusively blurry. But that's minor; it's a great photo as it is.

Beautiful portret. Very simple but effective costume. The DOF is brilliant. I like the choice of background color, it harmonizes perfectly with the skin color. This is one of my favorites in the Challange.

I like the costuming on this portrait, and the wistful look in the model's face. The depth of field isn't as forgiving as it could be.. the right shoulder strap is an example. I like it, however, overall.
