Forgotten by darnokComment: Great capture. The purple sets the mood so the colouring is well done. |

Mutant Coveby EntertainMeComment: Great Photo. The colouring adds to the photo here (in contrast to many others, where they have just coloured a photo and the purple adds nothing). It helps set the mood here. Love the Full Moon, obviously the right time of the month for you with this challenge. Exccelent Entry. |

History Has Many Doorsby PhotomouseComment: A terrific capture. Lighting is great as it matches the mood and really makes the shot here. You managed to take a photo of doors and made it about more than that. Excellent! |

MJ at Oma'sby dahvedComment: Sorry, the photo to me is a child. The flowers (on my screen) are clearly pink. I am not a fan of the lighting, the picture is very dark and dull. Post processing to give the colours some more punch (Vivid) is needed. |

Where's Purple?by rarmermannComment: Sorry, to me this is a snopshot of a Child. The purple hairband is barely obvious. The blues and reds jump out, not the purple so doesn't meet the challenge to me. The lighting also does not work, as it emphasises the blue pole, and does not emphasis the girl as the subject. |

Magic Hour in the Harbourby hotpastaComment: Great capture and portrayal of Sydney Opera House. Colour is imazing in this
Not convinced by the crop though. Probably a little too much taken off the right hand side (ie the Opera house is too much to the right) and also maybe a little too much at the top. Not sure, the crop just doesn't seem to work for me. Good marks though still as its a great shot. |

Heavenly Fire from Mars Hillby jperez1690Comment: Great Capture.
Would have liked to see some Post Processing on this image, give it a little more purple and darken the image. A darker sky and the bolt a purple colour and you would have got much hgher marks from me. |

My very first submissionby ed_lee85Comment: Firstly, Congrats on Submitting. Time to jump off the deep end, and keep submitting each week. Don't get turned off by low marks early, and try to keep inproving your skils.
OK, the focus of the image is the front left, making everything else out of focus. Needed a greater depth of field, and the purple needed to be in focus.
Also, for a challenge like this, the photo needs to scream purple, so the person needed to be larger in the frame.
Did you Post Process your image? There are many things you are allowed to do in Basic Editing that will also improve your shot. The colours int his are a little uninspiring, and would have been great if the Purple was a bit more vivid. Read the Rules for what you are allowed to do, and play with photoshop/lightroom or whatever program you have.
Good Luck and keep Submitting!! |

Alien Pulseby xxsprintComment: Sorry, to me this just looks totally out of focus and says nothing. I can't see where you were trying to go with this. |
