the eye, the fish, and the shellsby imagesloyolaComment: Clever, I like the idea. The depth of field was very good, had you lost it it would have been debatable as to whether or not you would have met the challenge. Good crisp focus, it is just a shame that it is almost impossible to get the shell on a third and still make the picture look good. My favourite picture so far. |

Ring of lightby purpletrollComment: I don't know if your camera supports it, but my main suggestion would be to use manual focus on this type of picture. As the lighting conditions are very difficult for an autofocus system. Good picture, and a good idea. |

The Light Houseby swaroskjiComment: I really like the photo, but it doesn't quite meet the challenge to me. I will give you the benefit of the doubt, but really would have liked to see the lighthouse as the feature of the picture -- not just some part of it that the title has to make. It's just a thought, but maybe you could have cropped the image so that the lighthouse was the main focus with the trees around it, or possibly you could have put the lighthouse on a third. One feature of the photo that was offputting was the sunlight pouring through the trees too intensely.
If your camera is good enough (I don't know what camera you have) then you should have got the resolution to just use the lighthouse as though the trees in the bottom left corner were the border. |

Around A round he goes....by TwocentzComment: The clever title makes this for me (Draws attention away from flower), as otherwise it's just another flower shot -- too much of a cliche. It's just a thought, but was there a chance you could have put the bee on a third, as it is very close? Good focus. 6. |

Planetary nebula by kiwinessComment: Interesting title (though I'm not sure it fits the picture -- however neither did mine), and I'm amazed that he didn't get a reflection in the glass -- very well done. |

surROUNDedby cosmichaikuComment: To be honest I wasn't quite sure what to make of this, as I wasn't sure if you wanted the background in focus or the front marble. I assume the front marble, in which case you have slight back focus. You have good use of thirds, and I will assume that the back focus was deliberate. Though I would have preferred to see the front marble in focus. Also you got good depth of field. |

Vautexby BLEEComment: Good picture, clever. I would really have liked to see the drop of water or whatever on a third in the top right-hand corner. As well as the circle in the bottom right. |

morning tomatoesby MIN-BITERComment: Might more light on the tomatoes have helped to focus ones attention more? The lack of light makes it hard to see how focused the image is, to me anyways.
Good use of 1/3rds. |
