Another beautiful picture, Gary! I've had your martini glass on my desktop for two weeks. Now I have something with which to replace it.

Wow, this is an excellent photo.. Can't believe it didn't win! Awesome colors, great sharpness, perfect composition, frame, etc. etc. etc. I'd like to know who the 7 a-holes that voted this under 4 were!

This deserved first place. Really nice work. Wish it wasn't cropped at the bottom and I could do without the border, but otherwise pretty nice work. |

Thanx for all the comments and votes. This was very easy to do, all I did was turned off all the lights in the room so it was completely dark. I put my finger on the glass of the plasma lamp so that the streams flowed more concentratedly and took some pics at a slower shutter speed.
@ Annie: We'll see about that :-) Congrats to you anyway, only 0.007 behind me.

I like the gaseous thing you have going on there. The colours are great and the dark background adds drama and mystery. It's a ribbon. 8 |

Ooooh, very nice. Excellent exposure, composition, border, colour and idea. Love it, nothing wrong with it, you'll win a ribbon or my name's mud. Thank you, frivolous Sharper Image purchase circa 1987. |

Wow, what the heck is this? The colors in this shot is just amazing. I love how it glows. I guess my only suggestion would be to include the whole (ball) and not to crop the bottom off. But it still works the way it is.9. |

Interesting title (though I'm not sure it fits the picture -- however neither did mine), and I'm amazed that he didn't get a reflection in the glass -- very well done. |

Plasma balls are cool aren't they! I won a comp this week using one (photoforum.com). Nice clear shot! I found i got a more rounded shot by looking down on it from a higher angle and therefore no need to crop where it joined onto the pole. Still a great shot as the ball has a shiny snooker ball luster to it. |
