Well...I didn't take it! by DrAchooComment: Well, you positively mastered my idea on this one :) I hope you're not getting as DNMCed as I am because this is technically and compositionally very well done and also cute and clever as can be. I have a feeling this is DrAchoo... |

Hard Evidenceby CitadelComment: I appreciate the simplicity of this photo and the attention to detail. The composition utilizes the rule of thirds well, and you have created interest with the angles and the shadows. I'm also impressed by how clearly you captured the print through the glass. The only thing that bothers me is the color of the hand seems a little red, and I feel like a gloved hand may have been more appropriate. |

Noirby Rino63Comment: Great title, and the image captures the mood perfectly. The shallow depth of field is what takes this to the next level. My pick for number one. |

-- Reflection on a Boat Hull --by LydiaComment: Somehow my comment during the challenge didn't go through on this one. I think this is an excellent abstract because the lines and colors keep your eyes moving through it and create interest. The balance of the picture works well and although I usually don't care for many abstracts, I find one really nice. |

Slip Quietly Into the Nightby colorcarnivalComment: Wow this one was waaaaaay underrated, it was one of my very favorites in the challenge. You took everything into account, the lighting, the subject, the angles, the composition, and managed to create a very distinct mood out of it. Seriously it made me shiver when I first saw it. It's very different from everything else that was entered. And although I figured it was a model boat because of the control over the lighting and the angle that you took it from, it could just as easily have been a scene from the Pirates of the Caribbean or something. You got a 10 from me and I'm faving it :) (haha, I guess I get a little defensive of my favorites)
also-I love that your dad made it, and happy belated birthday! |
