First of all, this photo is absolutely excellent. Secondly, I have a question. I teach primary students in China, and this little sign he's making with his hand means the number eight in China, and eight is a lucky number here. So all the kids make this sign and it's supposed to be a really cool thing to do. Something akin to chunking the deuce in the states or flashing a peace sign. Does it mean something similar in Thailand?

This picture really draws me in. The composition is very compelling I would like it even better if the girl were wearing some color to stand out against the near monochrome of the rest of the photo. Overall though, this is a moving photo.

I find the background flower to be just enough too out of focus that it's distracting.

I like the softness of color you've achieved here and the elegant minimalism, but it would be better if the flower were set away from the background so that you couldn't see the detail of the background or the shadow of the flower. Also, I think I'd like it better with the flower even more off centered to the right.
