Your composition is quite nice, but it is just too blurry and noisy to have a great impact. You either need a tripod, or just to adjust the focus so that the center is sharp. For noise reduction, I like Neat Image, which is free. Sorry if you already know that. Oh and, that little dark spot near the bottom of the flower is really distracting too, not to browbeat you or anything ;-)

Beautiful reds, humourous idea, and such a cute little cactus!! I hope you didn't have to harm him in making of this photo. Since you are allowed to mask in advanced editing, I might take some of the colour cast from the greens, and try to edit out some of the brown spots to give it fresher look.

The colour is very soothing and pleasing to the eye. The thing I find a wee bit distracting is the what looks like noise in some parts of the flower and stem. Correct me if I'm wrong. Over-all it's a very nice photo, and I could be wrong about the noise so I won't penalize you for it.
