Ericby AdiGriComment: Great expression, nice use of shallow DoF. I think you could add interest if the face were off center and maybe a little closer. Nice shot. |

50th Anniversaryby dtremainComment: Still playful after 50 years of marriage. It's fun to see this captured in their portrait rather than a more formal shot. Nicely done. |

Her Momentby WickedSoundComment: Hard to tell what's going on, but still very intruiging. I like that there's so much negative space. |

card lockby zeuszenComment: Interesting choice of subject. I like it. Nice soft lighting. Makes me wonder if there's a story behind it. |

The Blue Clownby silverscreenComment: Great shot, nice angle and composition. I like that you kept the colors subdued rather than cranking up the saturation. |

Viking bloodby MephistoComment: Nice portrait. I like the distressed background, the expression, the shadows on his face, use of shallow DoF. Composition seems oddly weighted to the bottom... I'd prefer if it was a little closer on the face and the face a little more in the upper right, but that's not to say it would be better, just an option. Well done. |

Tulipsby fubu2Comment: I love the angle. It's so refreshing to see an less-typical take on flowers and landscapes. It's a macro and a landscape at the same time, which is very eye catching. Nice job in balancing the lighting. I think the ideal composition might be a little different... less blue sky with horizon closer to the top, show the bottom of the main flower's petals, have the line of the horizon above the top of the flower... but I'm guessing that would have introduced other challenges and taken away the simplicity of the shot. Those are all minor... it's still a great and unique shot. Well done! |
