This is a self portrait. If you look at the photo closely you will see the leg of my homemade tripod extending from the frame. I built a contraption that attached to the forks and secured the camera five feet in front of me. I used the timer on the camera to give me enough time to jump on the bike and start peddling. My little FUJI E550 has a small video screen so the shot looked great in the field. I must have gotten some camera shake from the vibration off the bike. I didn't notice the soft focus until I got home and put it up on my bigger monitor. By then it was too late. I knew I would get crushed in the voting but I have always been more interested in the commentary. Still, I had a great time with this project.
