Hell risingby MiroslavComment: Pretty amazing depiction; it looks like lava in the sky. The blue gives some nice contrast against the deep orange. Landscape is a nice touch and doesn't distract from the sky too much. The cloud texture at the very bottom looks a little too peaceful (like a beach sunset) but it's not too bad. Very nice overall. |

Standing at the gateby yotchiComment: Wow, outstanding. I can't tell top from bottom, and that confusion paired with the title and color make it an interesting composition. Seems like it is probably something pretty ordinary, though, but the effect is pretty good. |

Welcome aboardby Rino63Comment: There's something about this that gives me the chills... the color, or the contrast, I'm not sure. But the face definitely is composed perfectly for the effect, and the lantern fits right in. Nice use of light ... or dark, not sure. |

the home you'll never see againby posthumousComment: Great scene and the water has an eerie hellish feel to it. Darks are very dark, but it works for the effect. Steeple/pinnacle in the background is a good touch. |

tortured souls in hellby skewsmeComment: The more I look at this, the more stuff seems to pop out. Putting the interpretation into the psychology of the viewer is a good way to exploit "hell," and the title tops that off. Good idea. |
