A scene which work well with the challenge in my opinion. Not very gory and not too bland; it gives a good dose of "hell" in a concrete sense. Good composition.

Too bad this was basic editing and you couldn't add grain or even a torn edge.....nice shot!

Yep! Totally agreed, war is hell. I think it was a good idea to make it B/W, adding age to the shot. I'd like this to be true: war shots only coming from the old past... just a dream.

could be a real nice shot this.. personally i think its missing 'noise' and maybe the focal point should be the guy at the front in pain... lense blur the back out

i like the expression on the guy's face in the foreground. i think cropping it closer to him would be nice to see.
