TEA Party Cheerleaderby eaglebeckComment: Nice shot, I think it's slghtly over sharpened though, this might have been an attempt to correct the fact that the focus isn't really on the boy. I'd recommend either a deeper depth of field or making sure the subject is fully in focus! |

BEAUTYby antjeComment: Excellent portrait, im sure she's very happy with it, unfortunately I don't think this has a very "candid" feel to it, even if it is. I'm pretty much ignoring the whole "what is candid?" debate here though so I'm throwing you a 7! |

"A Pig Walks Into A Hair Salon"by rodfulkComment: Ha, very quirky! I like the reflection idea, one of the more original in this challenge. The shot has a lot of potential, I feel that if the wholeshot was shifted slightly left, i.e the whole of the pig was visible and the chair in the bottom right was gone and the whole thing straightened up a bit this would be classic. I'm obsessed with black and white but I fell that this in B/W would make it stand out from the competition a bit more. |

TweetyCat-Workingby gunsmith6Comment: Warm expression and she is clearly off guard, but I'm not sure this counts as a candid as she is looking directly at the lens. I also feel this is a bit too much of a "snapshot" to merit a very high score - the lighting is too direct and harsh, the composition needs work, either taking this in a portrait orientation or placing her face to the left of the shot (using the rule of thirds). A shallower depth of field would also have benefited this shot. |

Waitingby brumer0Comment: This looks like a great situation, cute child, concerned looking adult, colourful balloons and an interesting background. I feel that the composition needs some work, it would have been nice to see he whole of the lady, perhaps including more of the background as well using a wider angle. I would also have liked to see this in pure black and white, it would lend an extra air of sorrow and calm to the situation which would contrast nicely with the balloons. |

Hunh?by JessiComment: Nice composition, cool DOF, interesting setting. I feel that although this is clearly a candid mooment you're going to lose marks because the expression isn't universally appealing. |
