| I love the way the colorful happy meal box and the baloons pop off the screen at you while the rest of the picture is kind of muted. I can think up a whole story to go with this picture which must mean that it is pretty darn good. |

| The sense of "moment" is present in this image and the obvious character being captured is intent on what ever is down the road. Technically and artistically, it seems a little dull which may be the lighting conditions in addition to the rather soft focus. A good entry into the challenge. |

| This looks like a great situation, cute child, concerned looking adult, colourful balloons and an interesting background. I feel that the composition needs some work, it would have been nice to see he whole of the lady, perhaps including more of the background as well using a wider angle. I would also have liked to see this in pure black and white, it would lend an extra air of sorrow and calm to the situation which would contrast nicely with the balloons. |

| I like the story this tells. As far as composition goes, I think it would have been better if everything was shifted a little more to the left to include more of the woman. A little more contrast might have helped, too. |
