Life is pretty tough on new rhubarbs... by budzuxComment: Awww...you lay off that rhubarb. Wait..I hate rhubarb...especially with custard. Step on :) Love the selective desat and the PoV. Prolly a bit too quirky for this lot but a really original shot and well executed. |

No Mean Cityby kevrobertsonComment: I can't explain it but this really appeals. I think it has to be the muted lighting and colour. I love the retention of detail in the buildings so that they're not silhouetted entirely and the blueish tones against the browns in the sky. Very cool stuff. |

Pipe Dreamsby MAKComment: Fantastic picture but the environment doesn't imply any harshness to me. |

My love for her keeps me alive in this barren landby JaimeVinasComment: Very clever - love the idea and execution. Great lines and wonderful textures from the surface stuff. Only real issue is that grey part of the sky where it was blown out....not sure that maybe cloning it out might have been a better idea. |

Into the Woodsby JutildaComment: For me this isn't a particularly harsh environment, but as a photograph I love it. What I really like about it is the strong black and white conversion with strong contrast, the teeny weeny bit of movement in her leg and hair, and above all the lighting and tonal range. I like the fact that you don't see her face because it would only detract from the scene. Probably a bit too subtle for the typical DPC vote but a very strong image nevertheless. |

Bladesby charliebakerComment: This isn't even an artistic statement. I just don't understand why people like you submit photographs that you know don't even try to meet the challenge - what's so good about trying to get a brown ribbon? |

Spot the Lensby taljComment: This needs to be called "is that a 70-200 in your pocket or are you just pleased to see me" :)
