Stroll along the Ohioby hotrollComment: Yes, the pelican is a statue modeled after a John James Audubon painting. I was about 3 feet from the statue and 30 feet from the sidewalk that my family was walking on. I thought about cropping out the pelican, but it was by definition, a "silhouette". Then I looked above it's head and the tree branches formed a heart shape. I knew it probably would be picked on by some, but I still love the shot. Maybe too busy, but a "silhouette".
I have several other photos that I took for this competiton that might have scored higher, but the lighting on the tree and the family was too good not to share. Message edited by author 2007-09-26 09:54:14. |
