Monday's child is fair of face...by debitiptonComment: Great lighting, good choice of hue for the duetone. A lot of people have gone for the very subtle blue/grey shade but this would have been too cold for this sunlight image |

The Cheetah Girlsby boyd2000Comment: If only the background was a lot darker. Possibly would consider cropping out the second cheetah on the right hand side; composition wise, having two main subjects doesn't make for easy viewing and would have had a lot more impact if there was just the one of the left perfecty composed |

Liquid Bronzeby TezComment: Strong duotone hue which works well here in this context. It won't win many awards for originality though, especially as there is a dedicated tutorial on DPC explaining exactly how to reproduce this |

Angelby karenkComment: Great capture. Choice of duotone hue is questionable for me. The really subtle ones look better IMO. Good focus |

The Poutby kvickreyComment: The background being much brighter leads the eye away from the main subject. One of the widest borders I have seen and I am not too sure about it. The hand is more well lit and seem more in focus than the face which is a shame |

Egret in Winter Rice Fieldby cogeroxComment: Amazing light and detail on the wings, the swan is the main focus and is clearly the brightest area which is good... apart from the border of course which is a little wide and might have been better in black |

Timeless Fallby brianzComment: Excellent tones, spoilt only by the white area at the very top which interferes with the composition |

Spectral Birchby snafflesComment: Branches are quite burnt out and have lost their detail. Having said that, at the top of the image this works well against the very dark branches against the neutrally toned sky. However, towards the bottom of the image, the sky is lighter and there are less dark branches and so looks a bit washed out. Perhaps if the gradient of the sky was reversed, light to dark, top to bottom respectively, then I think this would have worked better |

Silent Predatorby andrewtComment: The reflection makes you look twice to fully identify what the main subject is which brings interest. Good composition and tones. The blurred object in the background on the right hand side is essential, it is not a distraction but prevents there being a completely black backdrop and also helps with balance |
