Still Life in the style of the Old Dutch Mastersby glenncComment: Burnt out areas of the lemon, could have done with softer lighting to overcome that. Painting with light techniques would have given an added dimension to this and increased the difficulty factor to this otherwise relatively straight-forward still life. |

My wayby SaadComment: Could either do with a ccw rotation to make the posts vertical or even more of a cw rotation to make the angle more purposeful and aggressive. This is halfway between the two and I'm left wondering what you intended. Blown out areas of the rocks are not ideal. You clearly had lots of light and so I am confused as to why the sky appears quite noisy as you must have been set on slow ISO. |

The Yellow parts of a Duckby mannjuditComment: Uninspiring title and the image itself could easily have been about the orange feet instead - it is relatively loosely connected with the yellow brief compared to some of the other entries. |

Good to the last dropby WalesPComment: The colouring just seems a little dull, perhaps a visit to Levels during postprocessing to bring out the top end a little more would have overcome this. Well composed though and great crispness on the water drops |

homegrown grapefruit... ahhh!by OldCoyoteComment: Works well against the blue but seems a little noisy. Painting with light over a long exposure would have given this an extra dimension and increased the difficulty/technical factor required to score near the top |

Ice with lemon?by omnisppotComment: Why not tweek the hue from green to yellow during postprocessing. Either that or I need to get down to Argos and buy another monitor as this is coming across very much on the green side. Not particularly sharp, a shame really as the composition is great and could have been really dramatic |

Cherubic Taylorby SpongetoastComment: A fairly reddish skin tone which could have been calmed down a bit during post processing. I'm guesing the flower head represents the yellow element - however its not the main subject and its not very yellow, at least not on my display |

Light Refreshmentsby IreneMComment: I was waiting for this one to turn up during voting and here it is - the famous three glasses shot. How about something completely different; four glasses anyone! |

"Victory" on the Windowsillby chawley8889Comment: I worry that others will deem to background blind to be irrelevant and a distraction - only slightly saved by your mentioning of it in the title. Just the model against a neural background to keep things simple would probably score higher |
