happy landingby dc broughtonComment: Good spin on the topic. I think the absolute strength of this image is that the dog is looking at the camera. He looks like he knows exactly what it is you are trying to capture. Good Luck, Todd. 8 |

Look Mom, No Hands!by DougPazComment: Excellent shot, I like the perspective on this shot. My only criticism would be I would have liked to have seen the left hand completely in the shot and perhaps a little space between the right hand and the feet..... little things I know, but I think it would make for a stronger image that way. I also realise it's not always possible.... it's a great shot though and conveys both a sense of 'flying' and the complete trust between the child and the adult.
Good Luck, Todd. 8 |

Panic Timeby timj351Comment: Interesting subject matter. Not sure whether this is flying or falling! Either way it's a great capture and is a great shot photojournalistically (is that a word?). Good Luck, Todd. 8 |

Future Pilot by SonifoComment: Great shot, it has a real 'innocence' about it. Love the relationship between the boy and the plane, his eyes (actually moreso the angle of his head) and hand lead the view in an almost 'circular' fashion back to the plane. This works really well in sepia, adds to the mood of the photo and the freedom and innocence of a bygone era. I shall watch this one with interest come the end of the challenge, but I doubt I'll have to get off the front page to find it. Good Luck, Todd. 10 |

Didn't vote on this challenge but I remember seeing this one and thinking it looked like it might be your work.

monument to freedom by magnetic9999Comment: Excellent work, this is a very strong image and captured at a good time of day. Well balanced compositionally, I think this you have encapsulated the essence of this challenge and created an image that goes beyond a simple photograh of a monument. Love the lighting and the tones in this shot. Good Luck, Todd. 10. |

Hopperby JackoComment: Well done Jacko, you certainly know how to make your bugs jump (pun intended) off the screen. |

Freestyler by ToddhComment: Thankyou all for the comments and congratulations.
I was surprised at how highly it scored!
I was really pleased with this shot straight out of the camera.
Kiwi - I used my Sigma 70-200 f2.8, it is an awesome lens and just sooo fast, I've been doing heaps of motocross in the last few months and it has been a huge asset, it also keeps you a little further from harms way ;)
Anyway thanks again to everyone for voting for my pic..... my first ribbon! Woo Hoo!!! |
