Or I could say...40+ years of exposure to the elements :P |

Long Exposureby slickwillyComment: Originally posted by EBJones: I like the vibrancy of your image, but I think that a longer exposure (to be more specific, more movement being evident in the grass and clouds) would have helped this fit the challenge better. |
Ya, that was the first thing I noticed when taking my first look at this shot on my computer. First shot taken with the Lee "Big Stopper" Next time! |

Rundle Mountain by slickwillyComment: Originally posted by Jac: As a Canadian I feel obligated to go there and photograph my ass off but I can never find the right time to go, and I'm alone. Maybe late this summer, who knows.
Great image, love the tonal values in the sky and reflection. Lots of interesting foreground with great leading lines to the majestic mountain range in the background. Congrats.
What's the weather like in late August early Sept? Is it too cold at that time? |
Any time is a good time! This place is always good for photos. Sunrise especially because beyond those mountains are the foothills and prairies so you get to see the sun sooner then when you're deep into the mountains.
And define too cold? This shot was taken in January and if I remember correctly...it was around -5?
