I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: This is a really impressive, high impact image. The star trails are superbly captured but the HDR handling of the scene and presentation of the vehicles is astonishing. One of those photos that I find humbling. I am sooooooo far off having the skills to be able to pull off a shot like this; it is just so well finished. In terms of narrative, it connects the every day to the big wide world and to the wider universe - quite a feat.
Critical stuff: Nothing
Overall: Beautiful and awe inspiring. Stunning. 10 and a fav. |
