Did you use a UV filter for this one? I've heard they can reduce the distance/fading effect of strong sunlight on days like this, so I'm curious to know whether one was involved. Thanks!

boyhuntsforbliss: yes, it was taken at a weekend devoted to recreating the Battle of Hastings, of 1066. Loads of people dressed up in their own armour and weapons, and as they were staging the battle over both days of the weekend, they had their own authentic camp, with roasting meats, bubbling stews, yawning dogs and meandering children.
