We're Going to Need a Bigger Boatby banmornComment: Didn't like the thumbnail much, but now that I see it full-size I quite like it. The sky gives this a great feel. I'd actually like to see this without the little boat - I think the battleship stands well on it's own. |

Closed for the dayby giantmikeComment: Lovely pier, but you've overdone it on the processing. The pier has a heavy glow on both sides, particularly the left, and the leaves in the upper corner do as well, although that's partly the sun's fault. The solid blue of the sail (?) looks out of place; not sure if you did anything to that, but with Advanced Editing rules...
You've sort of emphasized everything except the boats. |

The Final Hourby bassboneComment: E-I-E-I-Ocean.
I like the lighthouse, but can't decide if it's a distraction or a balance. |

Against The Streamby bubeltrubelComment: White is just a touch blown; the shadows under the white boats disappear at the top, and are too defined at the bottom. Doesn't hurt it too much though. |

Azure Dreams of a Red Dinghyby tangueraComment: The abstract effect is nice; wish the boat wasn't cut off on the edges. Also, whatever that is on the left edge is sort of distracting; wish it had been cloned out. |

Rollin` on the Riverby sweetbreadComment: DNM... oh wait, wait, there is a boat in this bridge picture. And a lovely bridge picture it is too, I love the clouds. Would be better if the backdrop arch was centered and darkened a little; almost looks blown along the right side. Maybe crop the right 5% or so; halfway between the edge and the last pier. I actually really like the border on this, well done there.
7-ish if this were a Bridge or B&W challenge. |
