ProdigalMedic: this was post process sepia. This train is a museum now, and it has a horrible pink sticker band keeping doors from being opened, that's why I had to either use black & white or sepia, to hide it as much as possible.
smudgeSMJ: I tried it in B&W too, but I found it too "busy". It was hard to tell what it was. Sepia gave it some more contrast and depth.
Teafran: thank you so very much for your comments. They are always very nice and constructive. I really appreciate the time you take to give your point of view! |

Like the title says, it's a Kiwano... not that I knew what it was... LOL I had to look for it online, and this is what Wikipedia says:
The horned melon, also called melano, African horned cucumber or melon, jelly melon, hedged gourd, English tomato, or kiwano, is a vine of African origin, grown for its fruit, which looks like an oval melon with horns, and is very decorative. Native only to the region of the Kalahari desert, it is now grown in California and New Zealand.
AWESOME shot, btw! CONGRATS!! And like always, a wink to whoever rated this with a 2... Blue Ribbon dedicated to him/her!
Oh, and btw, you better be careful with what you promise!!! LOL Message edited by author 2009-04-15 20:39:09. | Photographer found comment helpful. |

Irene, your shots are always marvelous, and I admire your perseverance. You try and try and try until you get the perfect shot. You are a perfectionist, and I love that!
CONGRATULATIONS! | Photographer found comment helpful. |
