Interestingly even as a Brit my first temptation was to think 'oh no not another shot of the democratic candidate...seen him a million times' but then when you stop to think about it this is a phenomenal photo for DPC. Outstanding sharpness and proximity, great colours and without a shadow of a doubt meets the challenge as well as any other photo. I hope you dont suffer from voter fatigue (political rather than DPC). An out and out 10 from me

ooooooooo a headless portrait....I bet you will have some voters frothing at the mouth over this. As for me I really like it it, very cool composition which just shouts 'rock musician', possibly a smidgin over harsh on the left arm and right hand but still swimming in an ocean of cool

Tremendous shot which really meets the challenge head on. More than just a good idea though, it has been executed wonderfully, from the great black and white conversion, to the way the principal is looking directly at camera, to the lovely motion blur of the students traipsing past

Nice nice nice! Great capture of a person in their environment but also pretty spectacular in terms of the way the beams frame the subject - most notably the head, but the right hand and torso as well. Good strong colours and nice sharpness 9

Nice portrait, although I am not sure it screams stand up comic to me. Compositionally strong and I like the slightly unusual positioning of the subject. Good technicals. especially given his checked shirt

Nice shot with very strong colours and a great moment in time (perhaps moreso than a portrait) capture. I almost feel like saying I wish it was not quite so tight so you could see a tad more of Buck Pal, but if you did open up the image then I have no doubt I would be saying I wish you had gone tighter on the guardsmen, which I guess just goes to prove you are damned if you do and you are damned if you dont

An intriguing shot, no doubt that there will be some that say because the subject does not appear to be aware the shot is being taken it is not a 'pure' portrait, but in this instance I dont think it matters.

The real thing that will make this shot 'suffer' at the hands of voters is likely to be the blur in the lower fifth of the image (not sure whether this is another person who crept in shot or vignetting, but it is quite distracting from a very interesting subject

Ver bice subtle image and an interesting POV. The harsh white (grey) sky has actually contributed to the image by giving the subject a degree more pop, perhaps a shame there is not a colliery wheel in the background - although a counter argument could be made that a touch of subtlty is a good thing

Very nice!!!! Great perspective and a strong black and white conversions (optikverve dramatic?). Really glad that you got the meter in the shot. Excellent sharpness for a night shot
