Symmetryby kosmikkreeperComment: if you look in the reflection in the light on the left, you can see my face in a bar about 400 yards away drinking a $16 Carlsberg. |

Starfuckerby AzrifelComment: it's "Fuckah" and you have to say it in a really soft voice with a Turkish accent.
hilarious. I wonder how many times Serdar has been entered on DP? :) |

DSC_9730.jpgby PedroComment: Actually the couple was a little on the dry side - Shecoya and I went to the dollar store before the wedding and bought a bunch of props (I always take props to weddings - way more fun that way :))
I'll post the rest once I get them edited - this was one of a few silly ones :) |

Granny Bundiby vertigorealityComment: Ahhh Martin, my friend - still trying to apply real-world rules to challenges I see, huh? :) Truth is, certain technical 'flaws' do not go over well on DP: blown highlights, soft focus, centred compositions - that kind of thing. You and I both know in the real world we can get away with these things, and as often as not they're desirable there too. But in challenges they'll hurt your score (particularly since a lot of voters are noobs to photography and are looking for things to criticize rather than critique).
The way I see it you've got two choices - conform and shoot technically 'perfect' shots and get higher scores, or keep shooting for yourself and accept lower scores. Either way is perfectly acceptable, though the former can be stifling, and the latter frustrating.
From *my* perspective of course I love the photo - it's crisp and has a wonderful character as the main subject. The nice shallow depth of field isolates her from her environment, and her veil actually acts as a nice little diffuser so she's well and evenly lit. Part of me would like to see more of the background though, so a light fill flash may have worked to bring some of that detail back. That said, it's your photo and you chose to make it this way, so I'll take it just how it is.
nice work scoring over a 6 while breaking the rules - well done bro. :)

Tomby AleciaComment: it all becomes clear to me now...I know this face - and the photography - though the color threw me for a second. Beautifully processed as always, and the pretty face doesn't hurt either. If it were anyone else I'd wonder if the background/eye color matching was a coincidence, but in this case I'm 99% sure it was just good planning :) Bellissimo. |

So, I'm naked, in a bathroom, and my head is swelling up like a balloon...by toddheadComment: interesting - no camera avg 4.4, commenters 6.8...seems you have to have a camera to recognize a little creativity around here. love the fisheye...might have to change your username to bighead.
I'm sure Rorsach would have a heyday with me, but i think i see the image of Jesus on a crucifix in the pattern of your chest hair. maybe its just me.
