 cropped from a photograph taken of tom gossin and his brother, michael, in an outdoor photoshoot for their label. while doing a routine zoom for minor facial imperfections i found i liked the clarity of tom's face against the background.

i gave this a 10. the lighting is nice, everything is practically perfect. wish it would've scored higher..

AWESOME SHOT! I really thought this would place higher. I love the intense look he has and the background is almost the same color as his eyes. Glad to see you are still around, some!

I think his skin looks too smooth, which is weird because I can still see the texture in it. But I think it does. I would have maybe cloned out the highlights on his nose and forehead, just because I find them distracting.

a really good lighting. like the naturally colors. Background works well. Nice and clarity shot! One of the best in this challenge, IMO. Good luck!

Intense. Very sharp around the eyes in a good way. One thing throwing me off is that his eyes are sharp and the necklace is sharp, yet his face seems blurry. The whiskers should have fell into the same focal plane. Did you soften them on purpose? IMO it would be better to have his entire face sharp - OR - soften the neck/shoulders/necklace. Good luck in the challenge.

it all becomes clear to me now...I know this face - and the photography - though the color threw me for a second. Beautifully processed as always, and the pretty face doesn't hurt either. If it were anyone else I'd wonder if the background/eye color matching was a coincidence, but in this case I'm 99% sure it was just good planning :) Bellissimo.
