DYING FAIRYby RandiComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
I'm going to start out by saying very nice capture of fire. Well done in that aspect.
You could possibly have just a tad more sharpness to it.
For your subject matter I feel your lighting is right on
As for meeting the challenge. I don't see delicate here without putting some thought into it.

Artistic content here is good. Your idea has a lot of potential. Your biggest problem here is the background. So the real question is...Is it lighting issues or is it white balance. I actually think its a little of both, finding the right white balance will get rid of the blue and a little more light will help too.
Also on the subject of lighting watch out for the shadows they can really hurt you around here. try several light sources.
Final issue I see is your cropping...you needed to get rid of that upper left corner. That is such an easy fix so watch out for that.

Good concept. You did well capturing the bubbles and the dof appear to be good.
Your real problem here I feel is lighting. You seem to have your background shadowed somewhat and it takes away from the fact the background is to be white.
Overall your idea was good it just needs some work.

Facelessby InnaNComment: Critique Club
Nice composition. Your have two problems here that I see at first glance. Not enough detail in the mouth and nose areas they are just too washed out and flat. Second problem I am seeing is the focus on the rhinestones nearest the camera. You apparently used to shallow of a dof here.
You did well meeting the challenge and I personally like this. Hope to see more from you in the future.

My dads tennis ballby floipComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
Nice image overall excellent dof and really nice detail. Lighting is just slightly off with a shadow in front and a slight bit of over exposure to the back of it.
Only thing I can see here that hurt you was the ball was probably considered to bright for light on white. Most were looking for white on white or soft pastel shades.
Honestly this is a good composition and its a shame it didn't score better.

Old and greyby CasperholmComment: Greetings from the Critique Corner.
For starters I just don't see this fitting this challenge. Bark although gray usually isn't something I would call light unless it is a white birch tree.
Now as for the photo itself I would say you needed a little more dof there just wasn't enough of it in good focus to make it interesting. The concept and composition here are good just needed more focus to it.

Stunning image. Lighting brings interest with the shadowing in the foreground, the colors are vibrant and the detail is excellent.
What I question is your cropping and why you cropped the way you did. You lost the corner of the yellow and I think that took from it. You should have either had that corner included or you should have cropped in closer to the inter petals
You know you have a well done photo when all anyone can think of is to question your cropping...Well done photo.

Fallen Energyby pdxgrafixComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
You have a photo here with a lot of potential. First off watch you don't crop out parts of your subject. It's obvious that the leaf is your subject so why is it missing part of it at the top? It's like cutting off the top of a persons head something is missing.
The other real problem I see with this photo is the fact the floor was wet when you took this photo it just leaves everything to shiny a leaf in the delicate state of being dry and crumbly isn't portrayed when it is wet.
The angle and the colors are to the things you really had going here you captured the colors of the leaf nicely.

The End Of The Beginningby jonnieComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
Very nice shot. Well executed. Your lighting seems perfect, the composition is outstanding and your score reflects just how good this photo is.
I don't see anything that says fix me and I tend to agree with a few of the comments you got in the challenge it portrays fragile more than delicate but then they are so close in meaning that it obviously didn't hurt.
Keep this shot in mind the next time there is a reflection challenge, it would be perfect in that challenge.

In Her Shoesby ashsComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
Cute image. As I'm looking at this I see several minor things that can be done to improve on it. First being the dog. You will have more impact on the viewer if you capture the dog looking directly at you or to the side, it show the strength of the dog. Here your dog comes off as temid.
The next thing you can easily correct is when you do your photos outside. The sun was too harsh here. The shoes are washed out and your "wall" is completely shadowed. Outside photography is hard to accomplish with perfection but two things to remember are the worst time to photograph is between 10am and 2pm the lighting is to harsh and you will have to many shadows and overcast days can produce the best outdoor photography moments.
As for meeting the challenge it seems a little weak most voters were looking for white on white.
Hope to see more of this dog. She looks like a pretty and photogenic dog.
