Cute image...Definately a delicate job to create your "cheese" so obviously it fits the challenge.
I really like this but I think it would do better with a little more lighting just seems a little to dark and you have a really strong shadow in the background. Aside from the darkness everything looks good. You have a good focus and lots of detail.
Very creative and nicely done.

Reflectionsby THEOLDGEEZERComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
Ok I see the white wall and I see a nice reflection but I honestly don't see this fitting the challenge.
You might try shooting this at just a slightly different angle to try and lessen the distoration caused by the grooves in the hubcap. You do though have a really nice reflection here and I would agree with the person who commented that this should have been in the reflection challenge.
Don't let a rough first entry stop you...that is really a cool reflection photo and I hope to see more from you in coming challenges.

My Gizmoby xlr8tnComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
I must admit as this photo open up onto my monitor I started giggling and said I like this one.
I like the angle this was done at and the dogs expression just makes you want to laugh.
As much as I like it I got to admit there is one issue here that hurts the overall presentation. Those spots of harsh lighting that have created that almost xray kind of effect on the right side and on the left top corner those take away from the overall cutenss of the photo.
I do think you meet the challenge with this and I'm still giggling with each look. The pose, the dog its just too cute.
Hey you know you could always have Indy in every photo just like Rodrigue had the blue dog. |

a drop of light in a vaseby popsicleComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
As for meeting the challenge it appears that you have done that.
I'm not even interested in looking at this the squiggles just do nothing at the odd angle they were photographed. Had this been more straight on and not so much at an upward angle they would be a lot more eye appealing.
You also have a light issue going on in the middle of the vase where it appears your lighting is just way to harsh and it has washed some of the out. |

HE'S FIXING MY WINGS.by CONRADComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
Nice take on the challenge. Definately a delicate repair job.
As for the photo itself though it has a few problems first being focus, its just too soft.
Next is the ligthing, although your subject matter is well lit you have to much light on your background and the background would have been better had it been blurred more.
It was a nice and refreshing take on the challenge.

Red-Osier Dogwood in Octoberby HVGB_photosComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
Nice image. It's crisp well in focus. Nice detail to the dogwood.
Your composition however is so so. First try cropping in on the right side to get rid of the extra stem. Doing that will eliminate your biggest distraction.
There is something else I am seeing going on with your background and I can't really say what it is but I'm seeing stripes of two different shades of white. Not sure what it is but seems to take away from the berries.
I do though like this image, and yes it does fit the challenge.

Delicately sugaredby rsaulyteComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
Beautiful. Simply stunning. Its hard to say what could be done to improve something so pretty I have to actually get nit picky to even find flaw with it. There are two small spots just left of center near the bottom that just look almost like a hot pixel. Both spots easily retouched, and like I said I was gettig nit picky just to find that.
This is a beautiful image right down to the lighting everything was executed well.

Balanceby nereumComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
Nice composition very creative.
Now as for lighting its to strong...you have too much shadowing going on. Also not sure what is up with your background but it doesn't work too bad you don't have the same black in the back as you have under the pencil.
As for being delicate I can see it here. It fits the challenge.
Hope to see a lot more of this type of creativity from you in the future. |

What a delicate balanceby akshayComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
Nice color interesting photo and yeah I can see the delicate situation here.
Unfortunately, I just feel as though there is way to much going on here to make this stunning. I would have liked to see the tiger up closer and not so much of the other photographers.
Other than being a bit to busy the photo has a nice color and lighting seems good its just that busy feeling that is overdone.

Very nice kitty portrait. Definately fits the challenge.
Your lighting appears to be very good and your composition is good.
I understand the impatience of a cat, dogs can be just as bad too.
The only thing I see you could possibly do to improve this is a little larger dof so that the cats back is not as blurry. I would have loved to have seen more of the cat in focus.
Nice kitty photo hope to see more like this in the future.
