Tiedby diannaraeComment: Maybe you meant to submit this one to the "stationary" challenge? |

Through the Looking Glassby L1Comment: A powerfully poignant composition, imparting a strong sense of sadness and separation. Beautiful.
The low light on the hand really emphasises the sense of there being a barrier, which is further enhanced by the imperfections on the glass in front of the face. And since the boy is clearly in the sunlight, while we are not, there's a strong sense that it is the viewer who has been isolated, not the boy.
I could sit and look at this for ages. I have, in fact. |

Applesby jaboComment: A few simple elements - prepared, presented and composed beautifully. I'm taking notes... |

Frosted Glassby TransparentRealityComment: Stunning. The strong opposing curves couldn't be better framed. The pattern in the blue is entrancing. And I love the way the string of bulbs provides a counterpoint to the prevaling darkness of the lwoer portion of the shot.
This one is going in my favourites... |

\"See\" the light.by wingerComment: The effect from the surface that the glasses are resting on is great. It's a shame that the focus on the specs isn't sharper. |

Glass Appleby ladpupmoeComment: Nicely composed. Good lighting. It all comes together and works well.
Is that a reflection of a flourescent light at the bottom? |

Fragileby lwiley212Comment: This is a really photogenic piece of glass, and you've chosen a good setting for the shot. But it needs more lighting to really make it stand out, I think. |

Essential Glassby SherwinJamesComment: What can I say? A masterpiece. This is surely heading for a ribbon.
I'd love to hear the story of how this shot was taken.
The only minor (minor, minor!) thing that bugs me a little about this is the double-reflection. But if I get to take one shot this good in my life, then I'll die a happy man... |
