I MUST go and see this for myself some day, the Northern Light in Anchorage that I have seen so far is not like this. (Too close to the city?) Or is it because of long exposure times, that you get these relative bright shots?

Anyway, well deserved, finally a ribbon for you :-)

This is from the electricity challenge. Show electricity at work. So I do. The intentional motion blur is to show motion in an otherwise still photograph. Electricity is - amongst other things - giving us transportation and illumination, which is what I illustrate in this shot.

You write that the subject matter (the train?) is uninterested? How can a train be interested in anything?

I don't get it, but then, I am not the fastest animal in this forest, and English is not my mother tongue!

Clouds? I just see some bokeh with no subject at all. I don't get this picture at all. Edit: After looking at the link, I see what you mean. Daring to enter this. I still think photography wise, it is a very narrow shot. But brave!

Tilting is disturbing me, why not aligning it? These shots are not easy, but it is somewhat unsharp and noisy at the same time. I am sure I am not the only one mentioning this ...
