	Lightning never strikes the same place more than one time. by Dan_Cottle Comment: Fantastic shot. I really like it. I like the colour of the sky, and the clouds. I wasn't sure at first about the artificial lights in the bottom right, but on reflection I think they do add to the image - they give it a sense of scale.

	Restoring monastery wall-legend by lensblur Comment: I don't really know whether this is a myth or superstition, but it's a nice enough picture! The hand is a little dark and only the title makes clear that the person is working on restoring the picture.

	Chemical Spill: NaCl Everywhere! by EarlBaker Comment: A better effort than some of the similar ones in the contest. I think the grains are a little over-sharpened, but I do like it. I like the glint on the silver top.

	Throwing Salt Over Your Shoulder by asmithphotos Comment: Nice idea, but I'm sure you could have done it better - it isn't a very attractive shot, and it isn't very interesting either. The salt on the shoulder looks like dandruff! Nice try though
