Hi Germaine,

I hope my post (in the blending modes thread) helps you understand the difference blending mode a bit better. You've done a great job with this image, and I think the texture you chose to blend on top of the sunset is perfect.

Thanks for going into so much detail. It's nice to read not only how an artist achieved the look they were trying to convey, but why they did so.

Edit: sunset, not subset.

A very cool vignette effect here. Nice contrasting colours between the blue and the yellow, too.

This is an amazing result, and the moon is very surreal. Nice.

I don't know how much I like the posterization in the clouds, but the detail in the church is amazing for this blending mode. Nice job.

This is awesome, Karen! I love the look of the eyes and whiskers.

It's difficult to maintain the look of the original subject with this blending mode, but you've done it here. Nice!

Overexposed? Framed, not leading lines?

I'm sorry, but some people just can't see the forest for the trees. Look at the emotion in the eye!

See an image through the emotion it evokes, not the "technical" attributes that may or may not make up "good" photography.

This is a superb image, from tone to exposure to emotion. Very well done.

How is this overexposed?

Too many people on this site are scoring images based on some quasi-technical checklist, rather than viewing it for what it is: Art.

This is a gorgeous image with beautiful emotion and technique.

Oh, and the exposure is fine.
