This is something I would expect to see in a magazine. Then I looked at the score... wow do DPC voters need a lesson in how to break photography rules. This is an amazing image. The framing is unique and artistic, the light is balanced well imo (screw all of you who immediately think an overexposed image is poor), the pose contains sweetness with just enough attitude to make it interesting. I can see what you mean about the eye though, I hate basic editing.
You are definitely someone who's photo's I look to for inspiration. Keep up the good work! |

would have looked better without basic editing. Had to extreme the curves to make her eye pop out. I thought the lines were leading to her face. Ooops...im not very good at photography rules. |

Overexposed? Framed, not leading lines?
I'm sorry, but some people just can't see the forest for the trees. Look at the emotion in the eye!
See an image through the emotion it evokes, not the "technical" attributes that may or may not make up "good" photography.
This is a superb image, from tone to exposure to emotion. Very well done. |

I like the framing element of this shot and the narrow DOF |

I don't like how the image is overexposed (I assume that is the look you were going for). |

Good composition and take on the challenge. I like the high contrast look but looks a little too overexposed in her hair. |
