Lenscap Over North Berwick Beachby mohoytComment: I think this could be an interesting shot of the things on the beach. Unfortunately, they are too far away to see what they are. IMO, the sky could have been almost entirely cropped out. For me, the lens cap is also too small to be a focal point (if that's the intention). |

your comment is appreciated!by crayonComment: And you shall get it!
I'm generally not a fan of the toy pictures, maybe because I felt pretty beat up in the Children's Toy Challenge. ;-)
Franky, I've had a hard time rating this. The scale works well between the the toy and the lens cap. I also like the contrast between the smooth plastic and the rough brick. I like how the DOF is up front and the focus fades as you move back. Lighting is okay; not dramatic but good for picking up the textures. Composition is pretty good too. So, technically it is a solid photo. Subject is still a struggle for me. |

Comfortby thomaspeopleComment: Nice job. I had a similar idea but couldn't figure out how to do it.
It is by far the best of the pocket shots. While I like color, I think BW was a good choice here. Nice highlight lighting caught by the cap. I would have liked to hear these model directions, "Okay, move your butt a little to the right. Too far!" |

Avast , ye scurvy dogs!by jaxedComment: Best of the pirates. Details like stubble and the leather(?) vest help to separate it. Great expression. Nice lighting. Why did all the pirates lose their right eyes? Just curious. |

A Day At The Spaby Ampao64Comment: Clever idea and nicely executed. I like the off-center composition. It may be a little bright in the top half of the picture. |

Tyre by Michelin, wheel by Sigmaby WobbleComment: Pretty good fit. I like the color. The strong light helps show texture but the shadow may take a waay a little. Also, the backgrounds throught the upper-right and lower-left holes detract a little, IMO. |

Made by Canonby ace flymanComment: Very clever. Too bad it wouldn't fit on the other end. ;-)
I like the color and composition. |

Ultrasonic & Waterproofby Len ScapComment: I like the perspective and lighting. You captured the texture of the lens cap nicely. Water was a nice addition. I wonder if cropping a little more to have nothing but lens cap would improve slightly. |
