 Just in case you missed them, this is a parody of arnit's blue ribbon winning entry "Caught Up" from the Pink Challenge, and of course babylon's yellow ribbon winning entry "Caught arnit" from the Deja Vu II Challenge.

This shot can not come close to comparing to those vastly superior images mentioned above, but I thought it would be fun to try. I respect and admire arnit and babylon's work, and I hope they appreciate this goofy rendition of the idea.

This was my first time shooting in RAW, and I found the experience quite pleasant. As a total newbie, I am still learning everything, and shooting RAW allowed me to see how I can shoot better in the future (and fix some things with this shot).

Setup: A couple of clamp-on work lights and some orange poster board.

Processing:

Converted from RAW using the RAW plug-in for Photoshop CS2
Rotate a touch
Adjusted curves
Adjusted Hue/Saturation to shift the orange to a much more pleasing blue
Little bit o' Neat Image
Crop
Resize
Sharpen
Added borders
Save for web

Oh yea, muckpond also did a great parody in the Yellow Challenge titled "If Arnit and Babylon had a baby..."

Hasn't arni been through enough? ;-) Really like the shot! extreamly creative and well deserved placing!! REALLY can't complain there can you!!? I gave you a 9 when i was voting on this one!

What the deal with the ribbons? It's a nice shot but just like pizza, if you eat it everyday you will get sick of it. +10 for the shot -2 for not being original = 8.

deja vu. nice photo, creative, how 'bout a 9? I really like the smoothness of the blue, maybe more of a light halo would make this stand out more, but overall great job, nice clarity and clean look
