Nice shot, and the pic shows it all. Just wondering if it would have been possible to get a different more exciting angle. Guess it's hard considering they probably don't want you poking a camera at them :P... but either way it has a very journalistic style. I like how most of the car is covered in smoke, but you can just see what happened.

Technical
No qualms. Everything is sharp, in focus, and even the smoke came out nice.

Post processing
Please list your post processing next time. Anyways, it needs more impact. nothing really grabs you. Play with curves/selective colouring to see if you can achieve a more dynamic photo, as it looks a bit drab, and i guess that's where the score fell a bit.

Over it's is a nice catch, and I'm sure you could have sold the shot to a local newspaper. With a little more impact the score would have been higher.

Shot is very center oriented, which is a bit common, try to see if there's a different angle or composition which might make things a little bit more interesting. Also, the first thing that grabs my attention is the orange flowers. whilst the flowers are nice, the challenge is green, and so this makes the shot score much lower. It's also a bit flat, and i would have liked to seen a bit more contrast.

Technical
Image is very soft, and it seems you've focussed behind the flowers, and as such it makes the image very drab, as though the flowers grab your attention, theres no detail to hold the attention their. maybe a bit more dof to get the flowers into focus too

Post processing
No comments makes it hard to give feedback, so try to leave details of what you did next time. But basically it needs a lot more contrast. Some playing with selective colours would also be beneficial to bring out the colours you want.

Overall it's a great first submission, and i hope to see more :). I've been very direct and to the point in this critique, but don't take it as an insult, i just want to offer you more ways of improving.

First up, i gotta say that's an awesome picture, and i very much like the it. The first thing that strikes me is the water, which you've brought out very nicely. My only qualm with the water however is that it does seem a bit surreal, especially when compared to some of the rocks (eg in bottom right corner). The angle you've chosen allows for the viewer to see the whole waterfall very nicely, but i'm just wondering if perhaps a closer view point, or a more dramatic angle would have scored higher. Also, the bunch of rocks on the top right is a little distracting. Also, i'm not sure just what time you took the picture, but unfortunately it doesn't look like 2am (perhaps change the time a bit?), even though it might be, which might cost you a little bit on the votes.

Lighting
Although the image does set the duller, quieter sort of mood, i'm wondering if perhaps a bit brighter would have been better? But this is just a subjective thing, and personally i would have liked it slightly brighter, with perhaps something going on in the sky.

Technical
No problems here... perfectly sharp where required, great DOF.

Post processing
I love the way you've done the water, the bottom half of the picture looks very tranquil, and beautiful, but unfortunately the top does look a bit too synthetic. everything else is excellent, and I think i'm going to have to try copying your technique for water :)

Overall
Excellent shot, definately a top10 winner. Only minor qualms are that it doesn't look like 2am, and just wondering what a more lit up version would look like.
