Jesus is Lifeby ArjayComment: First of all I like this because I am a Christian and I fully believe that He is life. Luck probably played a role in this, but the different facial expressions are just great. I like the black and white option. In colour the photo was probably too busy. I see the streetlights are slightly slanting to the right. Use your software and rotate the image one or two degrees to the left. Then just crop sightly to get it square again. Good luck |

Persistence of Lifeby jrjrComment: Good interpretation of the subject, very appropriate title for the photo and overall a good photo. I like it a lot, but would habe liked the "alive" bit of the photo to be more striking. I know it would affect the composition, but moving a bit so that your purple flower is closer to the lens and adjusting your DOF could make a difference. Trying different lighting options could also help. Have you considered trying the same shot at night? Good luck. |

STOP........and 'Smell the Roses' everyday!by NudibranchComment: I like this photo. Many may think it is to ordinary - just a rose. That may be true, but you took a good photo. Could work a bit on the composition (like adding extra leaves behind the rose). Just break on or two small branches off and add them for the photo... I do like your lighting and detail on the rose. Good luck |

Country life is beautifulby boodComment: I like your photo but I don't think it will get a ribbon. Perhaps it is too light - I would have liked it a bit "warmer". I wonder what would have happened with another angle: say you tak it right from ground level upwards so that you do not get the trees in the background. You will then only have hay and blue sky with the cute little fellow. Like your interpretation of the subject. Overall a good composition. Good luck |

In The Beginningby JustinMComment: In my opinion this could win a ribbon. I guess it is not a "natural photo" but rather something you set up. Am I right? You chose the right colour for the background. Good lighting and composition. Good interpretation of the subject. Good luck |

Handfull of New Lifeby sherpetComment: In my opinion this could win a ribbon. Good luck. Good compisition and photo. Background colour is complementary to the darker patches on the duckling. |

Autumn falls into winterby Sieruken7Comment: Pity you completely missed the Challenge theme... Why did you enter for PORTRAIT in LANDSCAPE orientation? Your photo is LANDSCAPE in LANDSCAPE orientation. If you turned your camera 90 degrees and entered the "Landscape in Portrait orientation" you could have walked off with a ribbon. |
